How To Get Rid Of Headaches
Sounds promising doesn't it?
How we get rid of, or reduce headaches, depending entirely on what exactly the cause of the headache is. Want to learn more about specific headaches? Check out my article here
Once we have diagnosed your headaches, we can jump on to treatment! Here are some of the options we may discuss
Adjustments: The chiropractors main tool, the manipulation of the joint. For headaches, there are typically joints that lack movement throughout the cervical spine (neck) and thoracic spine (midback).

Cupping: Using cups can help bring fresh blood flow to the area, and decrease tension.
IASTM: Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation. Using a stainless tool to help with trigger points, tension and tightness.
Soft Tissue Work: Similar to the two above, but using hands. We can do things like pin and stretch, post-isometric relaxation and other techniques.
Exercises: introducing stretches and strengthening exercises can address muscle imbalances and postural syndromes that could be leading to your headaches
Adjunctive Care: Combining chiropractic care with massage, osteopathy, acupuncture, nutrition, naturopath and hypnosis are all possibilities.
Products: Different products can help support your health and reduce headaches. Epsom salts can be great addition to hot baths. Epsom gel is the topical treatment of choice in our clinic. Peppermint oil has been shown to help with reduction of headaches, as well as certain nutritional supplements.
There is a wide variety of choices to help with headaches. Regardless of the cause, getting assessed by a chiropractor can help get you onto the path you need to be on to manage headaches. Have questions? Come see me!
